Jess and John were married in the summer at the Banff Springs Hotel in Aberdeenshire - Scotland.
Jess chose to decorate the hotel's Deveron suite with giant cherry trees, and decided it would be a running theme throughout the wedding. The cake was decorated with the silhouette of the bride and groom, and cherry blossoms. The colour changing lights in the Deveron Suite can be set to whatever colour the couple choose, so they opted for pink and white to match the magical cherry tree forest they had created.
Jess' long time friends filled the role as brides-men, a fun twist on the tradition of bridesmaids! They each wore cufflinks pertaining to something unique about each one of them.
The couple gifted each other a rose, symbolic of giving love to one another, during the ceremony. Afterwards they passed through a a parade of confetti to mark their first walk as newly-weds.
Jess and John had their couples portraits taken at a nearby beach, the Banff Links. They already knew what to expect from their couples portraits as they'd had their pre-wedding photoshoot a few weeks before. We were able to keep the session fun, concise and relaxed while getting a huge variety of images.
Sneaky Treacle played the couple's first dance song, and as it is traditional for the best man to dance with the maid of honour, the head brides-man filled the role instead. The emotional father-daughter dance followed shortly after. There was a photo booth set up for guests to take their own selfies with props, and a sweet cart to fuel the dancing into the night.
