A dedicated portrait session of the bride (or bride + groom if they want) in full wedding attire. Done before the wedding day (most common) or occasionally after. Focused on capturing the dress, hair, makeup, bouquet, and bridal details without the time pressure of the wedding day. A chance to take photos in a location that might not be accessible on the wedding day (like a favorite meadow, mountain, or family property). Ensures plenty of dreamy shots of the bride in her gown without feeling rushed on the actual wedding day.
Elopements can be anything from a quick courthouse “I do” to an intimate half-day adventure. If you only want vows and a few portraits, 2 hours may be plenty. But if you’d love photos of getting ready, your ceremony, a little exploring, and a relaxed celebration after, 4–6 hours allows your story to be told in full without feeling rushed.
The beauty of elopements is the freedom to choose a place that feels meaningful—whether it’s a lakeside pier, a forest trail, or your own backyard. I’ll help guide you with location recommendations based on the look you love most (sunset glow, towering pines, wildflower fields, etc.), as well as lighting and logistics so your photos turn out dreamy and natural.
